River Falls, Wis. - BioDiagnostics, Inc., a leader in genetic purity and standard germination seed testing, announces additional management for their Electrophoresis and ELISA Technologies departments. Craig Nelson assumes Manager of Electrophoresis Technologies responsibilities, and Denise Thiede, Ph.D., joins BioDiagnostics as Manager of ELISA Technologies. BioDiagnostics' new management team delivers further expertise in isozyme electrophoresis testing and in transgenic detection technology.
Backed by more than twelve years of professional seed industry experience in quality assurance management and product development research, Nelson is committed to expanding BioDiagnostics' electrophoretic testing in major row crops like corn and sunflowers as well as in flower and vegetable industries.
"Craig will be a tremendous resource for the genetic purity issues faced by our customers in today's seed industry as he drives research and development of new electrophoretic testing", said Quentin Schultz, CEO, BioDiagnostics.
With twenty years experience in research in the academic community, Thiede brings extensive knowledge to management of high capacity production-based ELISA protocols. Her research and development projects will focus on ELISA protocols for specialty trait evaluation, gas chromatographic (GC) testing protocols for seed treatment load rate analysis, and near-infrared (NIR) testing protocols for nutritional trait analysis.
"Denise's research and development experience combined with her statistical expertise are essential for development of new ELISA-based testing protocols for transgene detection services in this era of transgenic agriculture", said Schultz.
