Seed Treatment Loading Rate Analysis & Fatty Acid Profiling
At BioDiagnostics, we use Gas Chromatography (GC) and High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) to assist our customers in determining the accuracy of the application of insecticides and fungicides to a wide variety of seeds.
Fatty Acid Profiling
BioDiagnostics’ Fatty Acid Profiling or FAME analysis provides our customers critical information about the fatty acid composition of their oil seeds and processed oils. This is especially important when breeding or purchasing high Oleic sunflowers or low Linolenic soybeans. With the latest equipment and automated high-throughput capabilities, our customers receive the highest quality data.
BioDiagnostics’ protocols are subjected to rigorous internal development and have been validated in refereed comparisons with other labs. Our customers use this service to ensure they are not under applying seed treatment chemicals and risking loss of protection. This information is especially useful because it might indicate the potential for those seeds to fail under field conditions and a customer may wish to add additional treatment before planting. Our customers are also concerned with over application of seed treatment chemicals. Applying excess treatment means a customer is spending more than necessary for seed treatment protection and excess seed treatment can damage seeds and hinder germination.
